THE WATERFRONT EXPERIENCE WITH PRIYA ADIVAREKAR

The Waterfront Experience with Priya Adivarekar
July 30, 2019

I was quite privileged to be invited by the resort when the property opened up and it was a beautiful stay. I was one of the lucky ones earlier who got a chance to explore the property and later on of course we did a lot of research and found out that other people were loving the place as well so my first experience in itself was quite beautiful and it was a self-discovery of sorts.

We had the pleasure of catching up with Priya Adivarekar, Founder and Creative Director of ‘Diary of a Dancebee’ – an award winning Indian entertainment and lifestyle website. Priya recently stayed with us at The Acron Waterfront Resort in Goa, a fine boutique resort by The Acron Group at an exquisite location by the edge of the Baga River just where it entwines into the Arabian Sea.

Acron Waterfront Resort in Baga is in the heart of all the action and party places and yet is an oasis of calm if you are looking for that quiet, beach side getaway. Priya visited the property for the first time during the launch in 2015 and her love towards this property has only grown fonder.

So it’s been 4 years since I last visited the property and I think it’s gone from being beautiful to very VERY beautiful. The last time I visited the property it was more about exploring Goa and also enjoying the stay but this time I’m exploring the property more and enjoying the calmness, the serenity etc. And I also like how each and every nook and corner is so well maintained, so even if I’m coming back it feels like coming back to a second home. So THAT’s the beauty of it I feel.

The Acron Waterfront Resort overlooks the Baga river and the mechanized boats docked at the jetty. The main highlight of this property is its infinity pool with a sunken bar where every visitor ends up spending most of their time. The azure infinity pool merges with the banks of the Baga River.

The moment I stepped in the first thing I noticed was the river which itself is the biggest USP because you have this beautiful view of the Baga river which is unmatched and apart from that the infinity pool because I am a water baby all the way so the moment I saw the infinity pool which overlooks the Baga river that in itself got me very excited. And also, the hospitality because the moment I walked in the warmth, the care that everyone took, it was quite refreshing to see that kind of experience.

Acron Waterfront Resort takes its culinary agenda very seriously, food being a big plus point. An interesting menu has been curated for people with diverse palates. Another aspect at the resort is the personal attention by Executive Chef George to make sure all guests are well fed.

So far, I’ve tried the Indian cuisine which was last night. And today we were quite luck to have an experience of a Masterclass with Chef George where I got a chance to try the veg Goan curry which was absolutely YUM! Because here I got the chance to discuss, talk and FEEL the entire vibe. So, THIS experience was quite different and I guess it’s a plus even if the visitors get a chance to do something like this!

So that was Priya Adivarekar for you. We loved meeting such a young, fun and inspirational blogger through this interview. What say?
